Nigerian singer, Bankole Wellington has won the PDP’s primary election rerun in Eti-Osa Federal Consistency, Lagos.
According to the People’s Gazette, Banky W won the election with 24 votes against his challenger Sam Aiboni, who scored only five votes.
The primary was rescheduled after a dispute between Banky W and Aiboni compelled the party’s leadership to intervene from Abuja. It was subsequently decided that a rerun should be held.
Mr. Wellington won the initial ballot with 27 votes to two against Mr. Aiboni, a Lagos businessman. Two days after the results were announced, the party revealed that Banky W lost the elections to Aiboni.
